Larceny reported

Police went to the 1200 block of South Main Street on Saturday where a jewelry maker had $600 worth of silver nugget rings taken from his car. The victim was in Walgreens trying to sell his rings when he left the building and a woman asked him for a ride. After he dropped her off, he discovered between 13 and 15 rings missing.

Shooting at or from a motor vehicle

• Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Pima Drive on Saturday following reports of shots fired. An unknown individual was seen walking south on Sycamore Avenue immediately after the sound of gunfire. The person reporting the incident stated he was driving on Sycamore when he saw the flash of a muzzle and then discovered his rear window on the driver’s side had been damaged.

• Police were called to the 2700 block of South Emerald around 2:30 a.m. also on Saturday for reported gunfire.

Cheating a machine

• Police were dispatched to Motel 6, 3307 N. Main St., on Sunday after someone damaged vending machines on second and third floors. The suspect broke into a change machine, coin box and Coke machine. Total estimated cost of damages is $445.

• Police were called to the Fina station, 3020 N. Main St., on Sunday where someone reportedly broke into vending machines, taking a grey bill holder and the coin box.

Criminal Damage

Police were called to the 1300 block of W. Fourth St., on Sunday. The victim reported that a neighbor damaged her window by shooting it with a BB gun. The victim stated that her neighbor was always shooting squirrels with a BB gun and had previously damaged the walls of her home. The neighbor admitted that he had caused the damage to the wall, but he denied being responsible for the window.  He stated he could not possibly hit the south side of her house from his porch. 

Burglary

• Police were dispatched to the 200 block of East Summit Street on Friday. The victim reported $50 in cash, 20 CDs and 50 DVDs, worth $1,300, missing. He found an unfamiliar white Jeep parked in his backyard. 

• Police were called to the 800 block of Twin Diamond Road on Sunday where two rings, one with 1 carat total weight diamonds, were reported stolen. Total estimated value of the missing items was $1,600.
